When hosting a Mini-Server of any type, you need to portforward to make it available for other players to join.When you close out, your server will close with it. This method of hosting a server is dependent on your game being open. From there, you can click a button that changes your game to Mini-Server mode.

You can run a non-dedicated server by playing in Offline Mode and going to the “Servers' page of your Shtikerbook. The server run independently of your game so that it will be up regardless of whether you’re currently playing. To run a dedicated server, simply run “start_server.bat” in your game’s installation directory. There are two different ways you can host a Mini-Server.You can either host your own server, or join someone else’s. Mini-Server Mode allows you to play Toontown Offline with up to 15 other Toons.Any following accounts should be launched in Mini-Server mode with the game server as “localhost”. To do so, launch your first account in Offline Mode. You can play on several accounts at once when playing Offline Mode.Be sure to remember the username of any alternate accounts you make, or else you won’t be able to access them! Each time you log into the game with a different username, it will automatically create a new account. Rather than accounts being associated with a username and password, they’re now created using only a username. Accounts in Toontown Offline work quite differently than in Toontown Online.The game can be played by yourself, whether you have an internet connection or not. Here, you can use several commands, such as "vp groups" or "cog building groups" or even "long factory groups". #toontownrewritten is just the general chat room. This channel does not require the authorization. Next, enter "/j #toontownrewritten" That will connect you to the IRC channel. Once in the channel, or in any other channel (it doesn't matter), enter the command "/authserv auth " You must enter several commands to join in. Once you enter, you will notice that you can't type and are just connecting forever. You are now ready to Connect into the IRC. The Kiwi Link is already connected to GameSurge. Once you have entered the channel key (the hashtag is required), make sure to "Connect" to "GameSurge". There, you will enter '#toontownrewritten'. Next, you will see a "Channel" or something similar. So in the 'nickname' back enter "Bermuda". That is your name people will know you by. On each of those links, you will see "Nick" or "Nickname" etc. I personally use Kiwi IRC, but Mibbit and mIRC work also. Then follow instructions in your email to authorize and create a password.
